The 5th Future Forest Forum will take place on 5 and 6 September 2025 at the Great Castle in Blankenburg (Harz).
We once again expect well over 350 participants from all target groups. Through keynote speeches, startup pitches, workshops, and excursions, we will provide inspiring innovation impetus, and through new matching formats, we will connect our participants with suitable implementation partners. The forum is characterized by the inspiring mix of its participants – from forest owners from the startup scene to science, entrepreneurship and potential investors.

Priorities 2025 Topics include biodiversity, water retention forestry, and the Digital Twin of the Forest. Water in the context of forests is one of our most fascinating topics this year. Therefore, we are concentrating several projects around the topic of "Sponge ForestThese aim to strengthen forests, which absorb water like a sponge during heavy rain and utilize it during droughts. This not only ensures that forestry and forest management remain possible in the driest regions, but above all, forests provide protection from extreme weather events and flooding.
